Oceanic Thoughts
by
Harman Harkema
We have gathered here at the Ocean to learn of special
powers. The Atlantic Ocean is possibly the most powerful mystic place in the world. So we
have come here to bathe ourselves in this mystic, Oceanic force. We play the drums on
our boats and beaches, our bodies responding to the beat, the heat, in trance we dance, a
heart in blossom, a kiss to the bosom of the Ocean. We can sail on this water, no house
can be built here, no monument erected in memory, the experience must be as we grow, we
live in the moment sensed in the heart.
Sensing The Power
The wind roaring by our ears sets up primordial vibrations, we can taste the voice of
the creator as his infinite wisdom merges with the sounds of the wind.
The waves in ever different frequencies, cradle us in motion, we are here, subject to
the power, the infinite power of the Atlantic. We hang our seaship on anchor behind a
small out island where the waves once crossed the reef, and come deposit some white sands
on its shores. A beach and its shady palms have been listening for millions of years.
Here, far from the clutter of the human creation we can prostrate ourselves, our soul
naked, grounded in the sands.
Let the Atlantic share its power. Where, if it is that we are of the Earth and the
Earth is of us, we can feel the Ocean as we can feel the blood in our veins...where it is
that the Ocean is our blood, and our blood is the Ocean.
That we can become the Ocean and that we can share its knowledge, as our own, that we
can come to understand who we are, what we are, and that the Ocean is wonderful. We find
that we also are wonderful, full of wonder. What a wonder we are. Inside of us is the
being, the intelligence that created the Earth and its Oceans. This is why we think we
have dominion over the land. When we come to the Atlantic Ocean, we can slowly, but
surely, come to our senses and realize that nobody has dominion over the Ocean. We can
come to know that only if we become the nature of things, we can command it then
our command will be subject to nature, as it is nature itself.
Discovering Love
The ultimate bounty we have discovered is love with no end in sight, just like the
Ocean. It is our destination where we will rest our souls. There along its shore there are
curvy bums and bumps on balmy beaches, fanned by the royal shade of palms, penetrated by
the power fields of incredible rock and coral formations. There is something soft,
something hard, together as Yin and Yang merged in the Tao. Soak up that love, soak up
that light, that lust to live with nature, the nature of who we are.
