We all know
that Chicken Soup is recommended when you have
a cold. Well, even though I've been feeling
great, I've been going to bed with Swami
Beyondananda's Duck Soup
for the past few days. Duck Soup has certain
advantages over chicken soup: 1) it is
guaranteed to tickle your funny bone and help
you live louder and laugh longer; 2) duck soup
is completely vegetarian; 3) if you find
yourself in a stew, this book will help you
turn it into duck soup.
When you've had
a rough day, Duck Soup for the Soul is
just the pick-me-upper you need. Not only is
it funny, but it is very
"enlightening" in its own comic way.
Swami tells us how to reach our "fool
potential", how to become "foolly
realized", and if you do your Omwork
Assignments, you will maintain your jestive
health. You will learn about
irregularhilarity, irony deficiency,
humorrhoids, and truth decay. And for those
who like exercising, Swami introduces his
daily practice of "Fu Ling".
This book is very
good bedtime reading! Rather than end your day
with the cares of the world on your shoulders,
sipping a bit of Duck Soup will end your day
in a positive and humorous note. As I said,
I've been taking the Swami's Duck Soup
to bed, I read a few pages, have some good
laughs and numerous chuckles, and off to
dreamland. I highly recommend it!
