BOOK REVIEW:
The
Journey:
A Road Map to the Soul
by
Brandon Bays
Publisher: Pocket Books,
a division of Simon & Schuster
Reviewed by
Marie T. Russell
This book is partly autobiographical as well as a
self-help manual. The cover states that it is "A Practical Guide to
Healing Your Life and Setting Yourself Free". Brandon Bays' story on its
own is an "eye-opener". The old saying "When life hands you lemons, make
lemonade" could be the theme song for her story. She has made gallons
and gallons of lemonade from the many lemons she was faced with.
Brandon is a teacher in the personal growth field who
has personally experienced the major ups and downs of life and has found
her way out of trauma and challenges. She healed herself, in less than 2
months, from a basketball-sized tumor in her uterus; she experienced the
loss of her home which was totally destroyed by fire; and she went
through a divorce from her husband of many years when she had thought
they had a "perfect" relationship.
Through her healing journey, she discovered a process
to connect directly to the root of her difficulties and access the tools
to heal herself. She shares that process with readers and presents a
"how to" process that one can do with a trusted friend.
This book is inspiring and Brandon Bays is an
outstanding spokesperson and model for the self-healing path. She gives
us hope as well as teaches us ways to access the same powerful healing
source that she found.
Even if you read this book "only for the story", it
is an amazing story! And, simply reading the book will open up doors in
your consciousness and avenues to possibilities that you may not have
previously considered.
Thank you Brandon for sharing your soul's journey
with us and shining a light on our own path.
