 What does tracking information mean?

Tracking Facts:

  • Delivery Confirmation Tracking usually provides 4 entries.
    1. When it leaves our shipping warehouse (this says that electronic notification
was received by the post office - see below for details),
    2. When it reaches the Warrendale/Pittsburgh, PA sorting facility,
    3. When it reaches the sorting facility nearest you,
    4. When your postman delivers your package.

  • If a package is returned by your post office to us the tracking will also reflect this movement back to us.

  • If a package is misrouted it will show entries for any sorting facilities along the way.

  • Once your package reaches the sorting facility nearest you, you can expect your package in a day or two.

  • The process starts when we request postage for your package. Our computer communicates with USPS computers and retrieves the delivery confirmation number (tracking) and notifies them of impending shipment. Each day (including many postal holidays), the central postal courier picks up your package (along with many others) at our shipping warehouse and takes it to the 1st stop in Johnstown, PA. From there it is taken to the regional sorting facility in Warrendale/Pittsburgh, PA where it is scanned. From there it is loaded on a truck, train, or plane (depending on the type of shipping you purchased) and is enroute to the sorting facility nearest you (this can take anywhere from one day to 5 days depending on how far you are from PA). There it is scanned and sent to your local post office and your carrier. Your carrier will scan your package when he places it in your mailbox. It sometimes takes up to 12 hours for the post office computers to update.

  • We use "state of the art" labeling software that not only prints your label but compares the mailing address you gave us with the USPS master address database for accuracy. (It is amazing the number of people who do not know their proper address), and the printed bar code includes not only your zip+4 but also the carrier route number so your package gets to you as quickly as possible.

  • International orders & APO/FPO orders are not eligible for delivery confirmation and tracking.
