Eraser Power: Just Say No!

In the first grade I set off to school with my Big Chief tablet and a box of #2 pencils. If I made a mistake I could change it instantly with the big fat eraser on the end of my pencil. Later there was ink eradicator, then white-out, and finally a magic key on the typewriter and computer that would eliminate any error. I had the power of erasure. I was invincible.

A Magic Word that Removes Unhappy Conditions

There is a magic word that can remove from existence any unhappy condition of mind, body, and affairs. This tiny word is power-packed and should be used instantly to negate any seeming evil thought, word, or appearance before it can establish a foothold in consciousness. NO is the magic word. NO is our power of erasure. NO is our defense against evil.

Evil is not a word I often use. It seems so drastic, so sinister, creepy. In that book of words it is described as something that brings sorrow, distress, or calamity; the fact of suffering and misfortune. That is definitely drastic and sinister and creepy. I do not wish to identify with any such thought, word, or appearance.

The Power of Erasure

A few years ago John woke me in the night talking in his sleep. With great vehemence he said, "Evil energy begone! Go, evil energy! Go to God!" When I told him later, he didn't remember what it was about, but I believe that in his sleep state he was exercising his power of erasure to eliminate something held in the subconscious. As I contemplated his command, additional words of explanation came to mind to complete the statement: Evil energy be gone! Go, evil energy! Go to God... to be purified, dissolved, eliminated.

In that prayer given to us by a master teacher we speak the words, "Deliver us from evil" preceded by "Lead us not into temptation." Our conscious mind must be the guardian at the gate turning away the temptation to allow evil thoughts to enter -- evil thoughts being any which bring sorrow, distress, calamity, suffering, or misfortune.

Just Say "No" to Limitations of Any Kind

Catherine Ponder says in The Dynamic Laws of Prayer, "Evil conditions of mind, body, or affairs are built up by someone feeling bad about them. This bad feeling not only builds up but sustains the unhappy condition. When the bad feeling is pulled out from under the negative appearance, that evil has nothing to sustain it and has to fade away...

When you say to any apparent limitation of mind, body, or affairs, "No, I do not accept this appearance, my life (health, wealth, happiness) cannot be limited!" you are dissolving fear. You are saying "no" to negative appearances. You are not accepting them or giving them power."

I read of a man who was diagnosed with a very debilitating disease. The doctor told him in great detail the horror story he could expect, then asked if he had any questions. What he heard coming out of his mouth was "Doctor, I appreciate your being honest with me. But it's clear that while you say I have this dreadful disease, I know it doesn't have me."

He had discovered the power of NO! He denied the power of the disease over him and went on with his life. That was ten years ago and not only have the dire predictions failed to manifest, but he has gone to ministerial school and has a new career as a Unity minister.

Just Say No: There Is No Such Personality

Emile Cady in Lessons In Truth tells how she dealt with a domineering person who was giving her a difficult time. Knowing that the personality is of the human and the individuality is of God, she began to declare "There is no such personality in the universe as this one." From that day forward she was free from any influence of that personality as though it had never existed. We could also declare that "There is no such personality in my life." However it is phrased, we are no longer giving power to that persona; we're saying NO!

In The Superbeings, John writes of the mental delinquents that sometimes sneak into our mental household diverting the power flow from the fulfillment pattern and channeling it through a negative thoughtform. He suggests sweeping them all out at once with this statement: "I call on the Law of Spirit now to arrest these intruders and take them out of my consciousness, out of my life, permanently. I don't need them. I don't want them. I will not have them."

I Accept Only Peace, Power, and Perfection

Continuing in The Superbeings: "If you are having any kind of problem, do not condemn the situation or circumstance. Face yourself squarely in the mirror and acknowledge that you have been plugged into the race mind, which is nothing but the carnal consciousness of mankind, and declare that you have had enough of this mass illusion. Stake your claim to your inheritance, which is the Kingdom, and to the Truth of your being, which is the spirit of God. Now dedicate yourself to pulling the plug on mortal limitations and rising into a new consciousness of Power and Dominion."

Say to yourself: "I live in this world, but I am not of it. I do not accept anything but peace, power, and perfection -- and this consciousness of the Ideal is outpictured in my world."

I let it be done!
