Sexual Healings

Sexual Healings

by Miss Desmond Clark

Do you know how to tie your shoe? I hope so. Now, do you remember who taught you how? Whether it was your Mom or Dad is unimportant... but do you remember? We all have memories that we can recall but I have noticed that many of us do not remember the little obscure incidents that helped form our personality and our behavior.

Can you remember who said you were not good enough... and you accepted that? Or that you had to work twice as hard as someone because of the social inequality? Do you remember who taught you to hate another race? More importantly, who helped shape your ideas on sex? If you still have the same ideas about sex you had when you were 15... something within needs to be evolved.

Somewhere along the line, we have accepted other people's ideas on sex and life in general and we have been living in that outdated mold. Not only that, but we have come to believe that those thoughts are ours. Whatever we formed from the past, we now have to reshape, recapitulate and revise if we are to continue on the path of enlightenment.

Another thought... what is a woman? Can anyone tell me without those old antiquated ideas and stereotypes jumping in? As the image of woman has been shaped through the male perspective... can a woman really say what a woman is? How can we evolve if we still have outdated antiquated ideas about who we are as a gender or even as a race of people?

Just because explicit sex acts are not laid out in the bible doesn't mean sex didn't exist. Remember the affliction spoke about on the Jews in Egypt? Just what was it you may ask? It was that they could not have sex so they had to live apart from their wives. You see, if they had children, the Egyptians would surely kill them. Also back in the times of JC, I have learned that such topics were not as important as the message and even if he did have sex... so what? Would that now make it O.K.?

The idea of being on the path is to transmute all areas of our lives -this includes sex and should not exclude it. Are you really doing it? Let's talk about sex a moment. Is it something you do as a married burden? Is it something you don't talk about because... "good girls don't talk about it?" Sex has been so maligned as the bad thing to do, that it's a miracle we ever procreate! If you do not understand the divinity in sexual union and still think of it as dirty it's time to look into other cultures and see for yourself. For example, the Taoist and the Buddhist view holds that sex is a sacred energy to be shared by two people with the highest of intentions. Why? Because when this energy is shared, it procreates on higher spiritual levels than we can ever imagine! In fact, their view is that sacred energy flows throughout the entire body and should be wisely used. If we would take time to explore sex and explain it properly to our children it would change their attitudes about sex. Until we do, we will continue to have our youth degrading the sex act, using vulgar language, etc. that makes some of us feel discomfort. These stereotypical ideas are shaping our world and we look to others to change it. However, I feel it's more of an inner resolve within each one of us that has to be changed.

Everyone likes to talk about being evolved and then will talk about sex in back room. Come now, does that make sense? It's time to explore your sexuality not inhibit it as some of us may have been taught in the past. To walk in an enlighten way means that you have explored ALL aspects of life and find them good - or at least evolving to something better. Just like God made the world and found it good... so should our attitude toward sex and the world be seen as good. Sex is one of these distant rememberings that needs to be brought out in the open. By so doing, I feel everyone will begin to walk in harmony and evolve to the spiritual and sexual beings we were meant to be. As the saying goes, it's very important that you believe the truth, but not everything you believe is necessarily the truth. My new saying is "Sex is great, and sex is fun, Excellent for two, and perfect for one!"

Here's hoping you get the message and begin to explore sex from a higher view...With God as your inner lover. What amazing things you'll find within.
