Highlighted Aspects for This Week

Monday: Pluto square Mars, Jupiter conjunct Mercury
Friday: Neptune semisquare Mercury
Saturday: Sun trine North Node
Sunday: Chiron semisquare Jupiter, Full Moon 7:45pm PDT

WE START THE WEEK with an opportunity to take another look at the new projects that we recently began, or new paths we are just starting to walk. The square between Pluto and Mars indicates a challenge awaits, one that will help us see what inner resistance (or outer obstacles) may need to be overcome as we continue our forward motion.

There is a great deal of passion and commitment possible with this Pluto-Mars aspect, so we may become even more focused on what we want and how to get there, in spite of any perceived challenges. We may also find ourselves easily angered or drawn into power struggles with this aspect, so call on your Source energy to help you take the high road in all interactions now.

JUPITER AND MERCURY align on Monday as well, which normally would initiate all kinds of conversation and debate, especially with both planets being in Aries. But Mercury is currently retrograde, and so part of that energy is drawn inward. We may find our inner dialogue amplified now -- or, interestingly, we may find the conversation with our higher self or guides to be more active than usual.

This could be an inspirational alignment, triggering insights and awareness about where we really want to go and how we might get there. At the very least, these two planets working together will help us more easily access the courage and pioneering spirit needed to pursue our desires.

THE LATTER PART of the week is carried energetically by the Full Moon on Sunday evening (7:45pm Pacific Daylight Time). Whenever the Moon is fully illuminated by light from the Sun, we have an opportunity to gain greater awareness about our emotional needs, as well as any underlying unconscious motivations. This Full Moon, with the Moon in Libra and the Sun in Aries, offers us new perspectives on the balance between self and other.

In general, we are in a time of reality checks in all of our important relationships and partnerships, given the fact that Saturn is currently transiting through Libra. This Full Moon provides us the light by which we may see more clearly what steps need to be taken to bring our lives and our relationships into true balance, and where we may still be sacrificing our truth for the sake of appearances or to avoid conflict.

THE SABIAN SYMBOL for this Full Moon speaks to a different sort of relationship, however -- and also reminds us what True Harmony entails:

"A man becoming aware of spiritual forces surrounding and assisting him: The realization, at any level of existence, that one is never alone, and that the "community" -- visible or invisible -- is sustaining one's efforts."

The interpretation of this symbol (in An Astrological Mandala by Dane Rudhyar) sheds more light on the potentials of this Full Moon:

"As the individual expands his consciousness, he may become aware of a spiritual community, even beyond the 'noosphere' (the one Mind of humanity), i.e., the realm of the pure light of the 'Supermind' ... To the person who has ever so little transcended the world of conflicts, and, for a moment at least, experienced the oneness of all existence, this stage should bring the realization of 'belonging' to a greater whole. This produces a state of Inner Assurance."

AS WE WORK to improve ourselves and our lives, it can be easy to feel that we're all alone, especially if we're currently experiencing a Saturn transit to our charts. It is during these solitary times that our experience and knowing of our connection to the "greater whole" can be immeasurably helpful.

This Full Moon offers a powerful reminder of that greater connection that unites us all, while also reminding us of the strength we each carry as individuals to claim our truth and move forward with courage. And, with Neptune just having stepped across the threshhold into Pisces, we are just in the beginning stages of ever-expanding awareness of the worlds beyond the veil...

Yes, these are very exciting times for our spiritual growth!
