Today's Inspiration

by Marie T. Russell, InnerSelf.com

The focus for today's inspiration is:

I open my senses and notice all the synchronicities.

The Universe never ceases to amaze me. The Inspirations for this week are part of an article I'm working on (tentatively entitled We Are All Connected), and here is a sentence from that article: "I am reminded of that old gospel song, Dem Bones, where it is said how all the bones are connected to each other."

So today I received an excerpt from a new book entitled Being Nature and that article submission starts with this quote from Jack Kerouac: "The neck bone is connected to the head bone, the headbone is connected to the angel bone, the angel bone’s connected to the god bone…."

I have to chuckle at that synchronicity. Another example of synchronicity or "good timing", the day after I had written Tuesday's Inspiration about all being connected, I watched Collateral Beauty which has a great example of being connected. Howard (the main character) builds these intricate models out of blocks which he then sets to tumbling down like a stack of dominos. The first block goes down and the whole chain, a whole room full, follows one after the other. An incredible example of things being connected. One small action triggers a monumental event.

A Book On Fear: Feeling Safe In A Challenging World
by Lawrence Doochin

A Book On Fear: Feeling Safe In A Challenging World by Lawrence DoochinEven if everyone around us is in fear, this doesn't have to be our personal experience. We are meant to live in joy, not in fear. By taking us on a treetop journey through quantum physics, psychology, philosophy, spirituality, and more, A Book On Fear gives us tools and awareness to see where our fear comes from. When we see how our belief systems were created, how they limit us, and what we have become attached to that creates fear, we will come to know ourselves at a deeper level. Then we can make different choices to transform our fears. The end of each chapter includes a suggested simple exercise that can be done quickly but that will shift the reader into an immediate higher state of awareness about that chapter’s topic.
