InnerSelf Newsletter: October 11th, 2015

October 11th, 2015

Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your Inner Self.

Regardless of where we live and who we are, our life contains a certain amount of stress. Fortunately, there are numerous ways of  Helping Our Kids (and Ourselves) Cope with Stress. The most basic method is to live so that Every Moment of Your Daily Life is a Meditation. Now of course, that is easier said than done, but remember that you do Change Your Life for the Better by Living One Day at a Time.

However, while you may have the best intentions, "the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray" (Robert Burns). The reason for this may lie in your answer to the question Is Your Outer Child a Self-Saboteur and a Bully? Regaining control of your life (inner and outer) is possible when you Open Your Heart to Easily Move Out of Victimhood and Struggle. We can take charge of our life and make it meet up with our highest goals and vision. Be reassured that Rekindling Our Creative Fires Rewards Us with Power and Energy.

This week we also look at Erasing 6 Hours Of Sitting; How to Make Your Own Toothpaste, Lip Balm, and Deodorant; Pursuing Happiness; Sustainable Development Goals; and much more. Scroll down below for the list of Editor's Choice articles, as well as numerous additional articles, brought to you this week by "your" (and our) InnerSelf.

Change Your Life for the Better by Living One Day at a TimeFrom this day forward you will endeavor to live just one day at a time. Yes, it’s as simple as that. All that is required of you is to live today fully, as if it were your first day and your last.

Every Moment of Your Daily Life is a Meditation

Written by Marc Allen.

Daily LifeYou will never be Jesus or Mother Teresa or Buddha or Pema Chodron or Buckminster Fuller or Eckhart Tolle (to name a few great teachers at random). You can only be yourself every moment. Discover who you are, and you find your own unique path along the way.

Written by Rashmi Khilnani.

Open Your Heart to Easily Move Out of Victimhood and StruggleMany humans are using their business as a way to avoid an intimate relationship with their hearts and to somehow bypass having loving relationships with others. The mind plays a big role in this roller coaster game of keeping you in complexity, in a whirlwind of activity and mental jabber. So it is your choice to come out of feeling like a victim of your societies, systems, and businesses.

Written by Nora Caron.

Rekindling Our Creative Fire Rewards Us with Power and EnergyWithin ourselves we contain seeds of great creativity. We are usually afraid of our own powers so we like to distract ourselves with hundreds of little mundane things rather than look in the mirror and see our real selves. Modern society encourages us to get lost in the world of social media where others are praised for their creativity and we hide in their shadows...
