InnerSelf Newsletter: February 7th, 2016

February 7th, 2016

Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your Inner Self.

One of our articles this week focuses on Four Crucial Reasons to Keep Your Body Moving. However, it's not just our body that needs to keep moving forward. Our mind, our old patterns, our expectation of our self and of others, our emotions, our fears, all of these need to keep shifting as well.

Sarah Varcas shares that It's February: Time to Wake Up and Smell The Coffee!  Part of that "waking up" involves Rediscovering Yourself When Life Puts the Squeeze On You, and Turning On Your Brights & Beaming Your Radiance.

And perhaps once we've done all of the above we'll be ready to Let Go of Fear Based Beliefs and Find True Love whether that is love of self or love of "other".

To create a "better" world for us all (whatever that image conjures up for you...health, happiness, abundance, community, loving relationships, etc.) may involve getting in touch with Ancient Knowledge Guidance (and creating) New Archetypes For A New World.

It's February: Time to Wake Up and Smell The Coffee!

Written by Sarah Varcas.

february varcas 2 2February may feel a lot more like the start of a new year than January did! With Mercury retrograde through much of last month we may have been busy tying up loose ends, sorting through matters that we thought were done and dusted and generally clearing the decks of unfinished business, be it practical, emotional or spiritual.

Letting Go of Fear Based Beliefs and Finding True Love

Written by Alan Cohen.

Where to Find True LoveWe were trained to believe that we are empty or broken, and if we can just get someone to give us what we are missing, we would be happy. Then we must control our supposed source of good so that person will keep doing the things that make us feel loved.

Ancient Knowledge Guidance: New Archetypes For A New World

Written by Jim PathFinder Ewing.

Ancient Knowledge Gives Guidance: New Archetypes For A New WorldTraditional Native American societies may be the best models of balanced societies in existence today—with only about 500 years of European contact and assimilation, versus 2,000 years. Native people viewed themselves—not their political, social, or religious lives—as individuals. The names that Native groups gave themselves generally translated to “the People” or “human beings.”

Rediscovering Yourself When Life Puts the Squeeze On You

Written by David Robert Ord.

Rediscovering Yourself When Life Puts the Squeeze On YouWhen the six-year-old showed his drawing to the grownups in his life, instead of seeing a boa constrictor digesting an elephant, they thought it was a drawing of a hat. Whenever he showed it to adults, he received the same response. The youngster concluded that none of the grownups had any imagination at all!

Turning On Your Brights & Beaming Your Radiance

Written by Sara Avant Stover.

Turning On Your Brights & Beaming Your RadianceSweet Sara. That’s what people always used to call me. It didn’t matter where I went in the world — whether it was to visit a cousin in the Midwest, have tea with a girlfriend in Bangkok, or read a piece of fan mail from someone I’d never met before. Everyone I knew at some point arrived at “Sweet Sara” as my nickname.
