Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your Inner Self.

This week we focus on going deeper in our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. This understanding then guides us to take appropriate action in our personal lives as well as in the "outer" world. Sometimes those actions, as evidenced by Barry Vissell, are risky and on the adventurous side. At other times, Barbara Berger reminds us, our actions are best to be kept on the minimal side, as in "let go and give others space to be" (in the case of her article, she is referring to how we raise our children).

However it is important to realize and remember that we are all connected and we are all on a path to elevate our consciousness.

Alan Cohen closes his article with the following:

"Every moment in your earthly journey is an expression of your consciousness. We are not here to manipulate events. We are here to elevate consciousness. When we do so, the events of our lives flow naturally and well. Then all of our daily activities become fuel for spiritual growth, and we are well on our way to mastery."

And I quote David Ian Cowan, in his article, "The Resolve to Awaken":

"Once I resolve to see the world and others as extensions of myself, each relationship in any circumstance becomes a portal to deeper Self-understanding, acceptance, and love. The end game here is that once we “get it” on the level of Unity Consciousness, the next phase of planetary evolution will begin in earnest... Our only real choice in the meantime is “How much longer do I want to suffer?”"
