InnerSelf Newsletter: May 8th, 2016

May 8th, 2016

Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your Inner Self.

Our life is oft-times based on assumptions which sometimes become widely accepted myths. This week we examine some of them.

One assumption which affect us in our expectations of happiness is The Relationship Myth of Living Happily Ever After. Then, Steffany Barton shines her light on the guilt felt when a loved one commits suicide... and the assumption that you could have helped prevent it in Facing The Darkness and Grief Of A Loved One's Death By Suicide.

Jacques Lusseyran also debunks the myth that blind people do not see in What One Sees Without Eyes while Zen DeBrücke assists us to Question Assumptions and Connect with Our Internal Guidance System.

And of course the "tone" of the month supports us in all the above endeavors as shared by Sarah Varcas in Intuition, Intention and Insight: The Keys to May 2016.

The Relationship Myth of Living Happily Ever After

Written by Linda & Charlie Bloom.

The Relationship Myth of Living Happily Ever AfterTrue or false: *Couples with great relationships don’t fight. * Most people expect too much from marriage. * All the good men/women are already taken. * Love can heal all wounds. * If my partner were more like me, we’d have a better relationship.

What One Sees Without Eyes

Written by Jacques Lusseyran.

What One Sees Without EyesIn order to adapt to the world of the seeing, blind people are obliged to declare themselves unable to see — and, believe me, I know what I’m talking about, for that has happened to me even when I knew very well that it didn’t correspond to reality and was not true.

We add articles to the website regularly
. Rather than wait for the newsletter, you can visit each section according to your interests throughout the week. Each section listed below is designed as its own "mini-website".

The "Living in Harmony" section includes articles on Health & Well-Being, Home & Garden, Pets, Leisure & Creativity, Finance & Careers, and Science and Technology.

The "Personal Development" area covers Attitude Adjustments (which includes Fear, Anger, Gratitude, Forgiveness), Relationships & Parenting, Spirituality & Mindfulness (including Meditation), Intuition & Awareness (including astrology), and Happiness & Success.

"Social & Political" covers topics that affect us personally yet deal with a more "societal" or "political" sphere. This area covers Environment & Climate, Democracy, Justice, Inequality, Economy, and more. These topics are very relevant for our communal journey on Planet Earth.
